Landis lost his appeal at the American Arbitration Association against a
two year ban after being tested positive after stage 17 of the 2006 Tour de
France. The UCI declared Oscar Pereiro as winner of the 2006 edition of the

Sinkewitz Suspended
The end of a nightmare tour for Sinkewitz
T-Mobile rider Patrick Sinkewitz
has tested positive for testosterone. Sinkewitz was suspended by the T-Mobile
team and German TV stations ZDF and ARD decided to stop covering this years
Tour de France after the news of Sinkeitz's A-probe was announced by the German
cycling federation (BDR)more .....
New Anti-Doping Program
A meeting on Tuesday in Geneva UCI president Pat
McQuaid has called on all ProTour riders to sign an anti-doping declaration
before the start of the 2007 Tour de France – the declaration requires riders
to provide their DNA samples, as well as pledging to pay back a
year's salary in the case of a doping offence. The iniative is called
"Riders' commitment to a new cycling."
All 20 ProTour teams attended at the UCI meeting. Mister McQuaid
presented in hard copy the charter which the 600 ProTour cyclists are invited
to sign before July 7thmore .....
