2007 Deutschland Tour


On the 10th of August the Deutschland Tour shall start in Saarbruecken, Germany. It will finish nine days later in Hanover. Last year CSC's Jens Voigt provided fans with a home victory, but it remains to be seen whether he can defend his title in what is widely regarded as the 4th 'Grand Tour' in Road Cycling

Today's 33 kilometre time trial around Fuerth saw Jens Voigt power to an emphatic victory over his Deutschland Tour rivals. Voigt easily claimed stage eight of the tour to extend his overall advantage to a massive 1m 57 seconds moving into tomorrow's final stage more........

Yesterday Lampre-Fondital's Danilo Napolitano succumbed to the sprinting prowess of T-Mobile's Gerald Ciolek at the Deutschland Tour, and today Milram's sprinting legend Erik Zabel suffered a similar fate more........

T-Mobile's Gerald Ciolek finally came of age today as he sprinted to victory in the sixth stage of the Deutschland Tour. The 175km stage that took the riders from Laengenfeld to Kufstein provided the overall favourites and race leader with a relatively easy day as the sprinters teams battled it out at the front of the peloton more........

Jens Voigt used today's 157.6km fifth stage of the Deutschland Tour from Sonthofen to Soelden to attack his rivals and extend his overall lead more........

Jens Voigt defended his yellow jersey tooth and nail in the Deutschland Tour when an attack towards the end of the 184-kilometre fourth stage threatened the German's overall lead more........

Germany's Erik Zabel has claimed his thirteenth stage victory in the Deutschland Tour today when he sprinted to victory over Caisse d'Epargne's José Joaquín Rojas more........

Once again the Danish CSC team proved what an excellent squad it is in team time trials. Saturday CSC won the 42.2-kilometer long second stage of the Deutschland Tour 25 seconds ahead of Discovery Channel in second place more........

Gerolsteiner's Robert Förster has sprinted to victory in stage one of his home tour. The Deutschland Tour started today with a 182.7km stage centred around the West German town of Saarbruecken more........
